Canopy walking is a life-changing experience for those who are impatient, but once you get used to it, you can see Nyungwe Park at its best.
It is true that someone who wears ikirezi doesn’t know that it is sacred, you wouldn’t talk about the beauty of Rwanda if you don’t have time to visit it to talk about your achievements.
Environmental journalists based in Rwanda Environment Journalist (REJ) have received training on conservation and environmental reporting, with the support of REJ’s partnership with the International FOJO Association.
Some of the journalists who talked to www.Rebero.rw said that they reached a point where they could not go back or continue. They felt that their life had stopped and some felt that it was their last life. Maritha told us something.
He says: “When I was on top of it, I felt like I had no life left, but the luck is that I went through it without looking down because it was starting to rain, but it makes you take all your thoughts away and look at what you are in, and you know it will make you visit the Nyungwe forest better because you are waiting everywhere, and there is no one else. who will ask because everyone in the company is pregnant with his own health“.
The one we gave the name of Munyaneza started by telling us that when he entered the first Canopy walkway he didn’t think it would hurt him because it was still low and he didn’t understand why people were walking on the ropes.

When journalists from REJ visited Nyungwe, they were shown how Nyungwe is managed and the best things to do.
He says, “When I got to the second Canopy walkway, I left and told the person we were following but we didn’t go with him that he would get used to the children because I didn’t feel like I was going to finish because it was too high, but when I got to the other side I thanked God for the way he went through but I was all scared, I just advise those who don’t visit that it’s a way the best way to visit Nyungwe National Park”.
The CEO of Nyungwe Management Campany, Mr. Niyigaba Protais, says that going through the canopy walkway has three different parts that relaxes the mind and thinks only about what you are.
He says, “Everything you thought about is absorbed and you are left thinking about life and your surroundings, the brain rests but there can be no accidents, and those who pass through it for the first time are the ones who have this fear only after crossing it once. “

Along the way, journalists headed to Ndambarare Falls, where many were curious.
He went on to say that instead of Uwinka, they are going to install a zipline that will carry people in the air (Zipline), which will be no later than next year 2025, where five mountains will be installed on a canopy walkway, which aims to increase the number of visitors to Nyungwe National Park, but 80% of visitors to this park pass through the canopy walkway.
Rwandans who want to visit the Nyungwe National Park and pass over the Canopy walkway pay 15 thousand while a foreigner came to visit and asked him to pay 140 dollars, and he goes to meet other animals and plants in the forest.
