The public is advised to check before receiving service that the full scale of the petrol pumps or those who come to buy petrol should check that the machines used to provide these services have RSB marks
That is why when you go to the petrol station, you should check that these quality marks provided by RSB are present, because if they are not there, the service will be incomplete.
An employee of the Rwanda Standards Board (Standards Department) Kabalisa Placide, explains this so that you can receive full service, and they also advise those who need to make changes to their machines to contact RSB.

It is closed from the inside, but when we go to the control, we have to open it to see if the RSB marks is still intact.
“For a machine to be reliable, it must have the RSB quality mark, which is on the meter, which shows the output of the machine inside, to prevent anyone from changing the measurements as they wish”. He says
He continued by saying that for those who violate these laws and make changes to these prices and remove the mark set by the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB), there are fines ranging from five hundred thousand (500,000) to two million (2,000,000) francs.
When he sees that he is also going bankrupt because the machine may be malfunctioning, he approaches the National Standards Board (RSB) and asks for service to come and check the cause, otherwise it will be done within six months but we can help him to check the cause before that time.
So far, no one makes this mistake because the laws are in place and they are avoiding being fined as we told you, because when we come to inspect, the first thing that is checked is the RSB mark to make sure it is not damaged, and even if the machine breaks down, you write to the National Standards Board and they give you permission to operate the machine.
